Welcome to our Year 3 Class Family page

We (Mr Davies and Mrs Hoskins) are so excited for you to join us in Year 3 where we will have so many exciting and innovative learning adventures ahead of us as we learn and grow together. We will ensure that you all are happy, feel safe and supported along your learning journey. In Year 3, we like to help make you become independent and responsible learners.  

Entry & exit 

You will enter the school grounds through the left gates and walk down the path onto the school playground. On the right side, you will see a grass bank with a path. Year 3 is the second white door up. You will enter here in the morning and be and be dismissed from here at the end of the school day. 

Assessments  

We assess our learning throughout the year using PIRA assessments in reading and PUMA assessments in Maths. We then use the information to identify 'gaps' in learning that we plan to close. You child may be required to attend a short booster to help facilitate this.  

Our main assessment form is completed during lessons. We constanly move around in lessons, intervening when pupils need either support or challenge. We then use this information to infom future plans.
